Here's the nine Donegal debutants from their Dr McKenna Cup clash against Down

Paddy Carr's first match in charge of Donegal ended up in a 2-14 to 1-10 defeat to Down in the Dr McKenna Cup in Newry, where the new manager gave nine players their first appearances for the seniors

Hugh O’Donnell (St Michael's)
Creeslough native O’Donnell has performed well for St Michael’s since making his breakthrough at the Bridge when his side made it as far as the 2017 Donegal SFC semi-final. Since then he’s become known as a competitive man-marker and won the St Michael’s Player of the Year last year.
