Cloughaneely took home the Fiona Doherty Memorial Trophy after two days of action at Letterkenny Gaels’ Páirc na nGael.
The Falcarragh-based side took victory in the final against their neighbours St Michael’s in the four-team Girls’ U-14 competition in memory of Fiona, who sadly passed away in September 2016. Please click on the arrows to go through the gallery
Her husband Ciaran, and daughters Lucia and Sara May Doherty were on hand for the presentations, with the club offering their special thanks to John Doherty for organising the tournament and to all the parents who provided refreshments over the weekend.
On Saturday, Cloughaneely defeated Gaeil Fhánada in their semi-final, while St Michael’s overcame Letterkenny Gaels. The competition in memory of Fiona was first staged in 2019.
