Donal Britton (Four Masters)
Because of the loss of Daniel McGeehan for the Cavan replay and with Alan Kane being promoted, we brought in a young 'keeper from Four Masters, Donal Britton, after advice from Frank Muldoon. Donal had been the Clanna Gael goalkeeper and was very sound. Donal played for many years for the Four Masters club and for the amalgamation, Clanna Gael.
Unfortunately, Donal, (along with his wife, Marie), lost his life in a traffic accident in 1996 at the young age of 45. His son, Gareth, is a prominent member of the Four Masters club and runs a sports business, All Sports, in Donegal Town.
