Shaun Ward (Glenfin)
When the leagues were restructured over earlier in the year, Glenfin were one of the club who profited from a bloated 13-team Division 1 but it was clear to see from day one that the side managed by David Carroll and Gareth Martin had put in the hard yards in pre-season. On opening day, debutante Shaun Ward, who was a county minor last year, kicked 1-5 at Cloughaneely in an impressive 1-12 to 0-6 win.
It was the first of seven top flight wins for Glenfin, who eased their way through the campaign. With another teenager, Luke McGlynn, also showing well and more experienced campaigners like Gerard Ward back on board, Glenfin can look forward to the Donegal SFC.
