Catching the eye: Players to watch in this year’s Football Championships

With county players not playing for spells of the All-County Football League, there were a number of stand-out players who have yet to make their senior inter-county bow that will be looking to take their good form into the football championships in the coming weeks

Eoin McGeehin (St Eunan’s)
Eoin McGeehin was the only goalscorer in last year’s Donegal SFC final for St Eunan’s and his inability to start in the Ulster Club SFC fixture against Watty Grahams was a blow to Rory Kavanagh and his team. McGeehin has been a consistent performer for St Eunan’s in their experimental Division 1 campaign, where they ended up finishing in fourth place in the standings behind Naomh Conaill, Kilcar and Aodh Ruadh. A real target man, McGeehin offers St Eunan’s something a little different, very good in the air and capable of scoring with both feet.
