Club-by-club guide to the Junior A Football Championship

Downings won the Donegal Junior A title last season and have since made it to Division 1 of the All-County Football League, with the competition starting again this weekend

This year’s AFCL: Finished fourth in Division 3, which meant a promotion play-off, where they lost to Naomh Muire in Dungloe
First two opponents: Away to Carndonagh; home to Pettigo
Prospects: Will have been disappointed to lose out on promotion to Division 3 having been defeated by Naomh Muire in the play-off last month. However, they showed enough that day to suggest they are one of the top junior teams in the county and although without Christian Bonner due to a broken ankle, could have a say in the latter stages
