Watching down
Termon found it tough going in Division 1 of the All-County Football League this term and lost their first 11 matches. The passing of Anthony McGrenra at 41 in June brought some perspective. Anthony was an immensely popular figure at Termon GAA club, where held numerous roles down the years and was vice-chair when the club established the ‘new’ Burn Road in 2009.
In his memory, Termon have his initials AMcG placed on their jerseys and since his passing they’re unbeaten having drawn two - against Glenfin in their last Division 1 outing and then at Gaeil Fhánada in the IFC - and won one, with his wife Catherine, children Ruth, Paul and Neil and members of the McGrenra family among those in attendance on Friday night for their 2-13 to 0-11 win over Naomh Muire.
