Morrison's return
The return to competitive football of Conor Morrison brought the biggest cheer of Saturday evening as St Eunan’s enjoyed a notable success over Naomh Ultan in the Donegal Junior A Football Championship.
Morrison was making his first competitive appearance for the Letterkenny club since suffering a horrific injury playing in the Donegal SFC against Killybegs in Fintra two years ago last week.
The then 24-year-old, who had lined out for Donegal in the 2020 Allianz League Division 1, sustained a complicated knee injury, which included a severe multi-ligament injury, which included a ruptured ACL (anterior cruciate ligament). Having worked closely with former Donegal senior team physio Cathal Ellis for the last two years, Morrison underwent two surgeries. Morrison lined up at full-back against Naomh Ultan, played the full hour and managed to kick a point in a 1-12 to 1-8 2 win. AF
