What you can do in Donegal during National Heritage Week on Tuesday August 19

Take in National Heritage Week including a Living History exhibition in Letterkenny

Ballyshannon's Railways Remembered

Dorrian's Imperial Hotel in Ballyshannon is hosting an event to celebrate the 120-year anniversary of the County Donegal Railway's Ballyshannon branch.

The event will allow the Donegal Railway Museum to join forces with Ballyshannon & District Museum will be discussing the town's Great Northern Station and all the other stops on the County Donegal Railway branch, including in Laghey, Bridgetown, Ballintra, Rossnowlagh and Creevy.

Railway historian Jim McBride, will feature photographs, and both museums will bring a selection of relevant artefacts along for display.

The event runs from 7pm until 9pm.
