An Crannog hosts an events which will tell the story of the parish's education system since when the National School system was founded in 1831. This bilingual event attempts to tell the story through the use of power point, exhibitions, and talks with most of the photographic material and documents on public view for the first time. Opening hours are from 12pm-4pm, but the event itself should last for between one hour and 90 minutes. Corkscrew Pub Lounge and the local village area is the scene of Doochary's Heritage Day from 7pm until 9pm. A launch of a sculpture by Annagry's John Gillespie that commemorate Doochary's migration history is a highlight, along with historic displays on the local salmon fishery, native bug life, native mammals, and the launch of the family zone. Doochary Men's Shed and the National School are contributors to this event. All events are free admission.
