John Campbell (Clay Pigeon Shooting)
The winner in 1980 was John Campbell from Ballybofey. John wasn’t in attendance due to ill-health, although Carmel Diver was there from the Donegal Clay Pigeon Shooting organisation accepted the presentation. In 1980 John was an Irish international. He was runner-up in both the Irish and British Opens. His successes nationally and abroad saw him win eight Donegal Sports Star Clay Pigeon category Awards. And he had the honour of being named the Overall winner in 1982.
