Nancy Buchanan (Appreciation-Tennis)
The Appreciation Award in 1980 went to Nancy, who put a lot back into a sport that she loved dearly, who was a member of the Burt Tennis Club. Nancy Buchanan played up to 2009 just a year before her death. Off the court, she was a volunteer par excellence giving long service to the Donegal Tennis Committee and was its Secretary and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to develop the sport.
