A spokesperson for St Eunan’s NS said: “The pupils worked tirelessly for over a month interviewing relatives in relation to family photos from pre 1970.

“They interviewed their relatives to determine the backstory of the photo. They discussed where the photo was set and the lives of the people in the photos.

“The children found a range of photos from wedding photos of grandparents and great grandparents to farmyards from days gone by.

“Pupils presented their work orally to the class each week.

“We had fantastic support from parents, grandparents and the wider St Eunan's National School community in the completion of these projects.

“They then presented their findings in a short written piece which was submitted to Donegal Historical Society for judging. We were delighted to be one of seven schools recognised for their research.”
