Based in Ballyshannon, The Kings of Cool are singer-songwriter, producer and the driving force behind the band, Michael Christie. He is joined by long-time friends, songwriters, and established musicians, Jason Kelly and Stephen Gallagher.
Primarily with a classic guitar pop sound, they also take elements of country and jazz into their original compositions. They cite influences as including The Beatles, Nick Lowe, Waylon Jennings, Steely Dan, Squeeze, and The Eagles among others.
Members have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the music world, and on some of the biggest stages. Their coming together is a celebration of the joy of songwriting and performance, and this exciting, accomplished trio is fast building up a repertoire of original compositions.
No doubt there will be plenty more music to come from The Kings of Cool on stage and in the recording studio.
