The Volunteer Project Recognition Award celebrated Donegal-based community projects that demonstrated innovation, community impact, and meaningful volunteer involvement. Projects submitted for consideration ranged from grassroots initiatives to large-scale efforts, with each one highlighting the power of volunteerism to inspire change and strengthen communities.
“We see every day how important volunteers are to communities in Donegal,” Eamonn Bonner, Manager of Donegal Volunteer Centre, said. “These awards are a way to say thanks and to recognise the hard work people do, often behind the scenes, that makes a real difference across the county.
The awards event brought together community leaders, volunteers, and representatives from across the county to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible spirit of volunteering that continues to thrive in Donegal. The Donegal Volunteer Centre extends sincere thanks to all who submitted nominations and congratulates the inspiring individuals and projects recognised this year.
