The approach of Storm Floris may have led to a nervous few days for the organising committee but thankfully after a morning track inspection, it was established that racing could go ahead as planned.

Hundreds of people of all ages gathered at the Murvagh venue for an exciting afternoon of racing as well as lots of catch-ups and fun for all the family.
The rain held off, and the only reminder of the storm which passed through overnight and into the morning was a strong, warm breeze.
Best dressed lady was Jackie Doherty who travelled from Letterkenny and wowed judges with her royal blue ensemble. She won a prize-pack sponsored by Get That Trend in Donegal Town, and flowers from Le Fleur in Ballyshannon.

The organising committee were thanked for staging such a successful event, as were the landowners and sponsors for their generosity, and the jockeys and trainers for their participation, and everyone who came along and contributed to such an enjoyable return of the Ballintra Races.
