Flashback: Election fever, a Hollywood superstar, and lots of local faces

We're back to the 1980s and '90s this week where local elections are in full swing, there's a visit from a former president, and we have the usual selection of local faces and places

Welcome to our latest delve into the pre-digital photo archive of the Donegal Democrat. We've got a Hollywood A-lister, election hopefuls, Donegal's first TG4 presenter, and a sprinkle of football fever for good measure. If you have a story about any of these photos, we would be delighted to share it with our readers. You can email siobhan.mcnamara@donegalive. Meanwhile, click on the arrows to browse this selection of photos from the 1980s and '90s
