The much-anticipated switching on of the new lighting system took place at the Bridge, Dunfanaghy, the home of St Michael’s GAA Club

Special guests on the night was Charlie Mc McConalogue, Minister of State at the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport. He was joined on the night by the St Michael’s recent All-Star Micheal Langan, local councillor and Cathaoirleach of the Glenties Municipal District Micheal McClafferty, former Councillor Noel McGinley and Donegal Senior Manager Jim McGuinness. Also present were Fr John Joe Duffy and Canon David Skuce.
