The concert featured outstanding performances of traditional music and song from the choir’s talented musicians, Emma Rouse (harp and banjo), Paul Gillespie (cello and uileann pipes), Aoife Shiels (tin whistle), Aisling Cheevers (violin), Michael Carey (whistles) and Brí Carr (keyboard) as well as a stunning display of Irish dancing by Gavin Shevlin.
A highlight of the night was an unforgettable performance by Mokusla, the daughter of choir member Margaret Rowland, featuring a blend of electronica, dream pop, and Irish folklore. Her contribution added a special layer of joy and talent to the proceedings.
Fear an Tí and Cór Ailigh founder Micheál Ó Giobúin provided a heartfelt glimpse into the choir’s history through a photo display shown throughout the evening, chronicling its achievements and dedication over the past quarter-century.
