‘Maggie's first visitors fell in love and she has now found her new family’

Donegal Dog Shelter seeks new homes for some dogs and is looking to reunite others with their existing owners

There are a number of dogs in the care of the Donegal Dog Shelter in need of a new home or to be reunited with their existing owners. And there was a lovely new beginning for one of the dogs at the pound as her first visitors fell in love with her and were delighted to give her a fresh start in a loving home. Click on the arrows for more information on each dog:

While some dogs that come into Donegal Dog Shelter and other dog pounds around the country may have strayed or been neglected, others have been surrendered in circumstances that may have been very difficult for their owners. This can include a death, illness, having to move house, changes in family circumstances, and much more. Either way, giving a second chance to a rescue dog can be extremely rewarding.
