Celebrate the work and legacy of Brian Friel in his mother’s hometown of Glenties - the Ballybeg of his literary works.

Enjoy everything from cookery classes to dramatic readings of Friel’s works as the town marks the ancient festival of Lughnasa

There will be live entertainment in the Highlands Hotel and other pubs throughout the town.

This is a great opportunity to pop into the Lughnasa Creative Arts Centre or St Connell’s Museum, or enjoy a stroll around the historic town.
