Six-year-old Séamie Séan Ó Braonáin from Creevy National School – Scoil Náisiúnta Mícheál Ó Cléirigh in Rossnowlagh, became the breakout star of Thursday’s Fleadh25 live broadcast on TG4.
The son of renowned Kíla musician Seanan Brennan and musician/actress Fiona Maria Fitzpatrick, Séamie Séan has been immersed in music from birth and singing since he was two years old. The Cavan-born budding performer with a love for cowboy films, a sharp eye for dapper suits, a treasured 37-year-old vintage donkey, dreams of one day becoming an actor.

Last year, he began learning to sing and play the fiddle with Comhaltas Phil Rooney Branch Ballyshannon. His golden moment came on Thursday night when TG4 presenter Aoife Ní Thuairisg spotted him backstage in his suit, waiting to watch his dad perform with Kíla. She invited him to take the stage, and with that performance on TG4 Live Séamie Séan won the hearts of the nation.
Earlier, he had told Aoife that he planned to busk at the Fleadh to save for the very suit he was wearing one he had his eye on in Carrick-on-Shannon. His mother Fiona agreed he could have it if he raised the money himself, and raise it he did.
Lorg Media, covering the lively Wexford streets for TG4’s social media, captured Séamie Séan in full flow during his busking debut. His blend of musical skill, charm, and cowboy swagger has made him an instant favourite, with audiences already calling for more.
From vintage treasures to vintage style, Séamie Séan Ó Braonáin proves that showmanship knows no age limits. With a fiddle in hand, a song in his heart, and a hat tipped just right, this Donegal youngster is set to keep delighting audiences one tune at a time.
