Video: Garda Síochána and local farmers team up to get Buncrana moving in the snow

With the wintery conditions on the Cockhill Road making it unpassable, Gardaí from the Roads policing Unit and farmers from the vicinity got working to distribute salt

An Garda Síochána in Buncrana and local farmers have joined forces tonight to get traffic moving on the Cockhill Road.

"Where there is a will there is a way!," reads a post from Garda Síochána Donegal, where they posted a video of the works being carried out. "Traffic came to a stand still this evening in Buncrana due to the heavy snow showers. The traffic could not move along the Cockhill Road so Gardaí from the Roads policing Unit rolled their sleeves up and assisted local farmers in distributing salt along the roads to get the traffic moving again. Well done to all who gave up their time for the good of their community this evening!"
