Kelly McGrory and her Irish teammates Sophie Becker, Una Healy and Sharlene Mawdsley couldn't contain their joy after reaching the final of the Women's 4 x 400m Relay at the Olympic Games in Paris.
The quartet were 'over the moon' as they were interviewed on RTÉ following their heat, in which they came third, just behind Jamacia in 3:24.92 and the Netherlands on 3:25.03.
"When you come out first you could just hear the noise," McGrory, a native of Laghey, told David Gillick of RTÉ's David Gillick at the Stade de France. "Inside, it's so quiet, you can hear everyone breathing, you can almost hear everyone's heart beat and then to come out here. It's phenomenal."
