Three of Donegal's brightest musical stars were delighted to be joined on stage by Kingfishr on an amazing night at the Late Late Toy Show last night in front of an estimated television audience of 500,000.
Ollie Glendinning was part of the All-Ireland All-Stars with their rendition of Killeagh, with the Laghey native playing the tin whistle before Aimee Rose Carey from Fahan and Downings' Anna Boyce joined in singing, in English and Irish respectively. Their video was shared by RTÉ.
Ollie, 12, is an accomplished musician and finished third in this year’s Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann when representing Mín na Croise CCÉ. Thirteen-year-old Aimee Rose, a second-year student at Scoil Mhuire, Buncrana, while Anna is a fifth class pupil from Scoil Naomh Bríd sna Dúnaibh.
Kingfishr are an Irish indie folk group formed in Limerick in 2022, comprising members Eddie Keogh, Eoghan 'McGoo' McGrath, and Eoin 'Fitz' Fitzgibbon.
