‘Immersive outdoor Halloween scare experience’ coming to Donegal

The event will run for four nights at Ballyconnell Woods & Estate with live actors and sudden surprises
An immersive Halloween experience, ‘Dreadwood’, is coming to Donegal.
Dreadwood takes place from Wednesday, October 28 until Saturday, October 31 at Ballyconnell Woods & Estate. Beginning at Cloughaneely GAA Grounds, a 2km trail awaits, containing an array of sudden surprises in the woods.
“Step into Ballyconnell Woods & Estate after dark for an immersive outdoor Halloween scare experience unlike anything else in the area,” organisers described. “Your journey will take you approximately 2km through the estate and deep into the woods, where live scare actors, disturbing scenes and unexpected encounters are waiting along the trail.
“Some you'll see coming. Others you won't. With darkness, smoke, flashing lights, sudden noises and scares hidden throughout the woods, no two steps through Dreadwood will feel quite the same. Once you enter, there's only one way out.”
Tickets for Dreadwood must be purchased online in advance, as it is a timed entry experience; an allocated slot time must be chosen. The trail takes approximately 30–40 minutes to complete.
