Various buildings in Donegal lit up pink to show support for the ‘Project Pink’ campaign

Donegal lit up pink to show solidarity with women and girls across the country.

The Donegal County Council (DCC) and the Walkie Talkie Girlies Society at Queen’s University partnered to light up the county with pink lights.

Each November, the society holds a ‘Project Pink’ event, which sees a network of buildings across the whole of Ireland lighting up pink in solidarity with the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (EVAWG) campaign.

A spokesperson for the DCC said: “Every woman and girl deserves a safe environment to live free from fear, violence, and abuse. These pink lights are more than a symbol - They are a commitment to listen, support, stand together, and never stop striving for change.
