SLIDE SHOW: Fair City star and Donegal footballer attract the crowds to Kernan's of Ballyshannon

SLIDE SHOW: Ballyshannon celebrates the opening of a newly renovated and very progressive business at Kernan's Spar

That feelgood feeling was very much in the air last week as Ballyshannon celebrated the opening of a newly renovated and very progressive business.
Situated at the gateway to the Erneside town, Kernan's Spar Supermarket offers everything to the discerning shopper that you would expect from a top class supermarket. Anthony Kernan, who owns a number of outlets in the county, joined manager David O'Donnell and our two celebs Ryan McHugh and Caroline Harvey who plays Farrah in Fair City to give this very hands on approach.
Anthony Kernan spoke of his pride in what they had achieved with the renovations and substantial expansion of the business and thanked the staff and customers for their loyal support.
It was an afternoon for all the family where there were numerous prizes and special offers.
David O'Donnell, store manager, is well known and a popular figure in the town - he has run a very successful music outlet in the past, is closely associated with both the Rory Gallagher Festival and Aodh Ruadh GAA club.
A very personable operator, David is very much a hands on person and no doubt will deliver a personal service.
He said, “I now hope that this is the start of further developments in the town. We have a lot of potential here.”
