All-Ireland Coastal Rowing Championships - Picture Gallery

With rowing taking the spotlight at the Olympics, thanks to the O'Donovan brothers from Skibbereen, there was plenty to celebrate in Donegal also at the weekend.
The Irish Coastal Rowing All-Ireland Championships were hosted by the Donegal Bay Rowing Club and held at the Lakeside, Ballyshannon.
2700 Rowers descended on Ballyshannon, Ireland’s oldest town. The 500 strong crews who travelled from Mayo, Kerry, Cork, Dublin, Wexford, Wicklow, Antrim, Belfast and Donegal, were not disappointed.
While the medals went mostly south, there was a good Donegal participation in all categories.
The event was a great success, thanks to the organising club and fingers are crossed that the Lakeside might host the championships again next year.
