Former Ballyshannon pupils holding walk in aid of Fr Tierney Park refurbishment

The event follows a reunion of former pupils, who decided to organise the fundraiser to support the planned improvements
An 11Km loop walk in aid of the refurbishment of the main stand at Father Tierney Park will take place in Ballyshannon on Sunday, November 15.
Organised by former pupils of Ballyshannon secondary schools, the walk will begin and end at Father Tierney Park, setting off at 10am.
The route will travel towards Bundoran before returning to Ballyshannon along the new R256 active travel route.
The event will be the first officially organised event to take place on the new Active Travel Route between Ballyshannon and Bundoran.
A shorter 5K walk will also be available, starting at 11am from Finner Roundabout.
The event follows a reunion of former pupils of Ballyshannon secondary schools, at which the group decided to organise a fundraiser towards the refurbishment of the stand at the home of Aodh Ruadh CLG. All proceeds from the walks will go towards the project.
Those wishing to take part in either distance can register by emailing [email protected] to receive a sponsorship card.
Donations can also be made through the GoFundMe campaign.
