McGee opts out at Sligo as McMenamin comes in as direct replacement

Eamon McGee has stepped away from his role with the Sligo senior footballers with former Tyrone defender Ryan McMenamin coming in as his replacement.
2012 All-Ireland winner McGee had been part of Dessie Sloyan and Eamonn O'Hara's management set-up during the 2026 campaign but is unable to commit for the coming year.
McMenamin - a former Fermanagh manager and Cavan coach - joins his ex-Tyrone team-mate Joe McMahon in the new-look set-up.
A statement from Sligo GAA said: “Ryan will replace Eamon McGee who has advised us in recent weeks that he is now unable this year to commit the time required for an intercounty management role.
“We have enjoyed working with Eamon, are disappointed that he is leaving and we wish him well in his career.”
