PICTURE SPECIAL: Laghey Tea Party great success

A tea party held last night in Laghey Parish Church Centre to raise funds for the Donegal Hospital Comfort Fund and the local church proved a great success, attracting support from across the community.

The event was organised by Laghey Parish Church.

As in all these community events  all the sandwiches and baking (with cakes just out of the oven) were all supplied by the local community.

This year the men came to the fore and dressed up in that tweedy Peaky Blinder theme while endless sandwiches were produced creating the impression that the miracle of loaves and fishes occurred given the amount of food on offer. It really was a superb community effort - a truly successful and enjoyable evening in Laghey.
