Cllr McMahon asked question on footpath near Ballyshannon's Old Barracks
A Donegal County Councillor has asked for the Donegal Municipal District to help stop the deterioration of a footpath near the Old Barracks in Ballyshannon.
Cllr Michael McMahon questioned the Area Manager of Roads and Transportation for Donegal Municipal District, Mark Sweeney, at January’s Donegal Municipal District meeting.
“That footpath there has really gone down on the left-hand side,” said Cllr McMahon. “If there can be something done with that?

“It is a paved footpath with proper cut stone. A few of the businesses have been on to me, asking what could be done with that.”
Sweeney responded: “We will have a look at that. All the locations where all the regenerations were done and where pavements were put in, we are having severe difficulty with them.
“We have been trying to deal with them.”
