Extra trains have been requested from Sligo to accommodate South Donegal fans heading to Croke Park
A TD for Sligo, Leitrim and South Donegal is calling on Irish Rail to provide additional trains from Sligo to Dublin on Sunday for the All-Ireland final.
Martin Kenny, Sinn Féin TD says this is to facilitate fans from South Donegal to travel to the meeting between Donegal and Kerry.
Deputy Kenny said: “I have been in contact with Irish Rail to request more trains be provided for the Sligo to Dublin line for this Sunday's All-Ireland final to facilitate fans from the South Donegal area to travel to the match and back.
“My colleague Cllr Michael McMahon has also been in touch with Irish rail regarding this and I hope that it will be possible to provide additional services.
“It is my understanding that additional rail services have been provided for other large events where there are big numbers of people commuting and I would hope that it can happen here also.
