Ireland's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 was confirmed on Friday night following a 'Eurosong' edition of the Late Late Show.
Bambie Thug, with the song 'Doomsday Blue', prevailed after the international, national and public votes were revealed on Patrick Kielty's live show.
It is certainly not the usual entry Ireland would send to a Eurovision with the Cork native gaining support from the audience in attendance and a panel of experts in the studio.
Ireland, seven-time winners of the song contest, last qualified for a Eurovision grand final in 2018, making it six years since the country has progressed past the semi-final stage.
Bambi Thug will aim to break that curse in Malmö, Sweden this May.
