Ear to the Ground featuring Paddy Gallagher will be broadcast on Thursday, January 9, at 7pm on RTÉ One and repeated on Sunday, January 12 at 1.10pm
The inspirational story of a Donegal sheep farmer who lost his sight will appear on RTÉ’s Ear to the Ground early this month.
Kilcar’s Paddy Gallagher's life changed forever when a traffic accident left him with multiple injuries in 2019. While the broken bones healed, the incident resulted in Paddy becoming completely blind. However, on the advice of one of the doctors treating him in the hospital, he decided to continue farming and RTÉ will share his remarkable story.

Darragh McCullough spent the day with Paddy to learn how he is managing to farm sheep and live a fully independent life, with Ear to the Ground to be broadcast on Thursday, January 9, at 7pm on RTÉ One and repeated on Sunday, January 12 at 1.10pm. The show is produced by Indiepics for RTÉ.
