Donegal group Ceoltóirí Canóla are headed for Denver this summer
Ceoltóirí Canóla has learned that they have qualified for the Varsity Quartet Contest at the Barbershop Harmony Society's International Convention in Denver, Colorado this summer.
This is the first time that Ireland has ever been represented in this competition. This esteemed event attracts entries from all over the world and only 22 quartets have qualified this year.

Not only has Ceoltóirí Canóla secured a place - but they are also seeded sixth quartet in the competition. This is a major achievement for the group which formed little over a year ago. The four secondary school students, Alice O'Connor and Katie Coyle from Loreto Milford, along with Sadbh Breathnach and Síne Ó hAodha from Coláiste Áiligh, will be amongst the youngest participants in the competition.
They are the current Irish Association of Barbershop Singers (IABS) National Quartet Champions and are delighted to represent IABS on the international stage.
