Caolan McFadden helped the Ireland U20s to fifth and Amy Greene aided the Ireland U23 women to seventh spot at the European Cross Country Championships in Portugal.
Finn Valley AC athlete Greene finished strong over the last couple of kilometres and placed 20th in Lagoa.
Kirsty Maher placed 11th with Ava O’Connor 25th, Anika Thompson - a double European U23 track medallist - 26th and Roise Roberts 34th.
Greene, a native of the Rosses who is coached by Helen McCready, was at the last two editions of this event.
Greene was second U23 at the recent National Cross Country Championships in Derry.
In the U20s, Cranford AC’s McFadden placed 36th overall with team-mates Noah Harris 10th and Cormac Dixon in 13th.
They were followed by McFadden, and then Finn Diver (65) and Tom Breslin (67).

For McFadden, the outing came a week after he claimed the Irish U19 Cross Country title at the National Sports Campus in Dublin and he had been the U20 silver medal winner in Derry, with only Harris in front of him on that occasion.
Next summer, McFadden will make then move to the United States to take up a scholarship at Villanova University.
