Caoimhin Connolly blasted his way into his latest Irish final on Saturday - and teed up a rematch with Kurt Kinsella.

The Twin Towns BC flyweight booked his berth in the U19 50kgs final via a second round stoppage.

At the National Stadium, Connolly overcame Ryan Buttimer. The Golden Gloves puncher was stopped by the deadly Connolly in the second round.

Connolly was the Irish Youth 48kgs champion in January when beating Kinsella.

Now, the pair will dance again under the National Stadium lights with Kinsella taking a unanimous decision win over Ratoath’s Jake Kelleher in his semi-final.

Connolly made his debut in an international vest this year having won a gold at the William Wallace Box Cup in Scotland in 2024.

He opened his U19 Championship bid last weekend with a unanimous decision victory over Kildare’s Anthony Cash.

Connolly will be joined on the final bill by Convoy BC’s Kerry Brown, who was given a semi-final walkover. Brown will face Ballina’s Kelsey Langan in the 60kgs final with Langan overcoming Emily Forde by unanimous decision.

The finals take place on Friday at the National Stadium.
