Jack Boyle was victorious in the Wexford Box Cup
Donegal teenager Jack Boyle won gold at the Wexford Box Cup at the weekend.
Boyle, representing the Olympic Mullingar Boxing Club, defeated Dan McRedmond to win the Male Youth 91kgs category.
Boyle forced a stoppage in the second round of the bout.
The Olympic Mullingar club won the accolade for the best team at the Wexford Box Cup, which attracted some international entries.
In the second round, Boyle - who has previously boxed for Dunfanaghy Boxing Club - halted the bout when he cracked a left hand to the body of McRedmond. Boyle followed up with a right hand to the head of the Ballagh BC opponent and that was that.

Last November, in a support bout on a professional show in Dubai, Boyle overcame Yusuf Kizito and was trained by former two-weight world champion Paul Weir for that bout.
