Ciara Craig lost out in her Ulster Elite final on Thursday night, but west Donegal boxer David Tennyson grabbed an Ulster 9 County title in Belfast.

Falcarragh woman Craig, boxing now out of Glengormley Boxing Club, was through the ropes of the Girdwood Community Hub in Belfast.

Craig, who won an Irish Intermediate title in 2024, boxed in a round robin in Belfast in October, taking on Rebecca Kavanagh in an exhibition.

Craig was beaten by Ella McDonald from Corpus Christi in Thursday’s final with McDonald taking a unanimous decision.

The Girdwood Community Hub also hosted some remaining Ulster 9 County Boy 4-7 finals.

There, David Tennyson of Derryveagh Boxing Club overcame Josh Doran from St Bronagh’s to win the Boy 6 63kgs final and land his eighth provincial crown.
