A full house, a raucous 600 people, will roar on from ringside tonight as Fight Night at the Valley comes to the Finn Valley Centre.

Professional boxing makes its debut in the Twin Towns of Ballybofey and Stranorlar with an action-packed night put on by Ballybofey’s former world title contender Jason Quigley of Sheer Sports.

Some unbeaten Irish prospects are set to light up a venue at which Quigley honed his skills as a talented amateur.

“This is about breaking a mould,” Quigley said. “People just don’t put pro boxing and the Finn Valley Centre together because it has never happened. This is something now I want to do more of. It’s not just getting in and ticking it off the list; I want to grow this into something.”

Sligo’s Thomas Myers (3-0, 1KO) makes his professional debut on Irish soil after winning three times in the UK and the US.

Myers squares up to Patryk Polasik from Poland in a light-heavyweight clash slated for six rounds.

‘Hands of Stone’ Jason Myers (4-0, 3KOs), a cruiserweight from Galway, is rapidly making Donegal a home from home. Myers fights for the fifth time as a professional and this will be his third fight in Donegal.

Previously, Myers won by stoppage on the Rumble In The Hills cards hosted by Quigley in 2023 and 2025.

Here, Myers meets Jiri Svacina, a veteran out of Czechia who won on his last outing a couple of weeks ago by majority decision, over six rounds.

Dublin heavyweight Daniel Fakoyede (1-0, 1KO) will hope to build on a debut win when he takes on German Skobenko from Russia and Gorey light-heavyweight David Kennedy (2-0) goes up against Slivakia’s Alex Dzubak.

Aodhan Byrne, a native of Kilcullen in Co Kildare but with firm roots in Donegal, will debut against tough Polish boxer Marian Wesolowski.

The 23-year-old Wesolowski has gone the distance in his last six outings and should represent a good opener for Byrne, who was a 2025 National Senior champion. Byrne’s mother Sinead, nee Long, hails from Carrickmagrath in Ballybofey.

“I think I can really catch fire as a professional,” Byrne said. “I believe I have an entertaining style and sometimes people will call it a little bit flashy but it's just the way I am.”

Young amateurs like Conan Kearney from St Bridget’s in Clonmany and Carra McHugh from Raphoe Boxing Club will get their chance to shine as part of exhibition bouts on the undercard.

Raphoe BC graduates Danny Duffy and Cathal McLaughlin were due to be on the show, but injury prevents them from ducking through the ropes.
