A pilgrimage proposal which could link Donegal to Scotland

A pilgrimage route which could link Donegal to Scotland was on the agenda at a recent meeting of Glenties Municipal District meeting.

Slí Cholmcille Project is a proposed 250km pilgrimage route linking key Colmcille related sites across Donegal and Derry, with the ambition to link across to Scotland. Donegal County Council will work with Derry City & Strabane District Council on the project. 

Slí Cholmcille CLG is to undertake the feasibility assessment which will include route development, identification of capital investment, costings and designs as well as an economic appraisal and business case.
