A senior Tripadvisor executive is among the guest speakers at Donegal County Council’s annual tourism seminar this week.
The event, which is for all those involved in tourism in Donegal, will take place in the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny on March 30 from 9am to 2pm.
Justin Reid, director of media, destinations, hotels and growth with Tripadvisor, will address the event, the theme of which is Emerging Trends and Opportunities.
The seminar will reflect on how the landscape of tourism has changed significantly over recent years, prompting huge change, unprecedented challenges but also new opportunities.
The seminar will bring together expert speakers to provide important insights, guidance and inspiration to navigate, inspire and support new opportunities.
This year’s event will feature several exhibitors offering tourism business advice.
The event allows the tourism community to re-connect with industry peers, make new connections, gain invaluable and actionable learnings from expert speakers, share knowledge and be inspired.

Award-winning Donegal chef Brian McDermott will be the MC for the event. Other speakers include Eoghan O'Mara Walsh, chief executive of Irish Tourism and Geraldine Ann Cusack, sustainability and climate action officer, Fáilte Ireland.
