Eight people were arrested in Donegal this week as part of Operation Thor.

The arrests were made on Wednesday by Gardai attached to Letterkenny.

The eight people were arrested on foot of live bench warrants, which were executed as part of an Operation Thor ‘Day of Action’.

All those arrested were brought before a sitting of Letterkenny District Court.

First launched in 2015, Operation Thor actively targets organised crime gangs and repeat offenders through co-ordinated crime prevention and enforcement activity based on intelligence and the latest burglary trends.
