Christopher Orr appeared at Buncrana District Court on Tuesday morning
A man has appeared in court in connection with an aggravated burglary in Letterkenny in which a woman in her 40s and a man in his 20s were injured.
Christopher Orr appeared at Buncrana District Court on Tuesday morning charged in connection with the offence at Glenard Park on Monday night. No details of the incident were given in court.
He has been charged with three counts of assault, two counts of possession of an offensive weapon and trespassing.
The incident occurred at 7.55pm on Monday when a man entered a house and assaulted the occupants.
Gardaí arrested a man a short time later. He was taken to Letterkenny Garda station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
Orr, of Cullion Road, Letterkenny, was granted bail on a number of conditions.
He has been ordered to stay away from a house at Glenard Park, have no contact directly or indirectly with two named individuals, reside at his address, sign on at Letterkenny Garda station three times a week and to provide a phone number to gardaí which he can be contacted on at all times.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham remanded Orr on his own bond of €200 to appear at Letterkenny District Court on May 8.
