Man charged over uninsured scooter on St Patrick's Day

The case appeared before Thursday's sitting of Letterkenny District Court

A man has been charged with having no insurance on his motorised scooter when stopped by Gardai in Letterkenny during St Patrick's Day festivities.

Tomasz Gluch was stopped by Gardai on the scooter at Lower Main Street in Letterkenny on March 17th, 2021.

Gluch's case was mentioned at a sitting of Letterkenny District Court.

His solicitor, Mr Frank Dorrian, said he was requesting an adjournment in the case as legislation was due to be published on the use of such motorised scooters.

The case was adjourned until September 7, 2023.
