A woman who appeared at Ballyshannon Court on Friday on an alleged assault charge has been told that she must not make contact with the alleged victim either directly or through social media or fake social media accounts.

Before the court was Lisa Mongan, with an address of 61 Cashel Park, Lisnennan, Letterkenny who was charged with the alleged assault of Mary Ward at a property in Bunholvil, Bundoran on Wednesday last, March 8, 2023.

Inspector Pat Harney said that there was no objection to bail, but he wanted a number of bail conditions imposed upon the defendant.

The court was told that defendant must reside at at 61 Cashel Park, in Letterkenny, remain sober and have no contact with the alleged injured party directly or indirectly as well as by phone or through social media accounts, to include fake social media accounts.

Judge Sandra Murphy remanded the defendant on continuing bail to the Ballyshannon Court sitting on May 5, 2023 for DPP directions on the alleged assault charge, but excused her of the requirement of attendance on that date.

Rory O’Brien solicitor for the accused was granted legal aid.
