Appeal over two separate Bundoran Assaults

Gardai in Bundoran and Ballyshannon are appealing for information regarding two assaults which took place in the seaside resort on separate occasions recently.

The first occurred on Sunday September 10, at approximately 11pm where a male suffered injury as a result of the assault on Main Street. He was later taken to Sligo University Hospital for his injuries.  

Gardai say that if anyone was in that area on the date in question or they might have information regarding the incident, to come forward and contact Ballyshannon Garda station on 071 98 58530 or the Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.

The second assault is said to have occurred on the night of September 16/17 about 3am on the Sunday morning.

In this instance two young males were assaulted outside a late night licenced premises, again on the town's Main Street.

Garda say that the victims received multiple punches to the face and as a result required medical attention.

Gardai say that they are aware that there was a large crowd in the vicinity at the time and have again appealed for anyone with information to come forward or may have something on their phones that was recorded.

CCTV footage has also been canvassed in the area.
