Gifts stolen as Ramelton resident unpacked car at Christmas

A person was unpacking their car after returning to their home in Ramelton following a Christmas break when a bag containing some valuable items was stolen

A bag containing valuable Christmas gifts was stolen from a car in Ramelton while a person was unpacking items at their home last week.

The disturbing incident occurred between 5.30pm and 6pm on Friday, December 29 at a property at Back Lane Upper, Ramelton.

Gardai have asked the public to be vigilant following the incident.

The resident arrived home after a few days away for Christmas and was in the process of taking items into their home when a bag was stolen.

The bag contained gifts, including a pearl necklace and pearl earrings. Two pairs of ladies trainers and orthotics were also stolen in the incident.

Gardai have also urged people to keep a look out for these stolen items, which would be put up for sale.
